“Haverhill Public Schools does not tolerate bullying, harassment or retaliation of any kind. The school system said any misconduct would be dealt with expeditiously and would undoubtedly have lasting consequences for all involved.
Haverhill Mayor James Jay in a statement. Fiorentini called the incident “disgusting” and asked for the players involved to be permanently removed from the squad.
“The boys involved in this despicable incident must be removed from the team immediately and permanently,” Fiorentini said. “Parents should know their children are safe when sending them to high school sports.”
